Millions of people on the Internet
access various Websites, newsgroups, discussion forums, chat
rooms, listse rves,newsletters, and bulletin boards to pursue common interests. Rather
than try to keep up with it all themselves, many of them allow special notices and
advertisements to be sent to them by leaving their name and email address. It's called
opt-in because they have given permission to receive these email messages.
